Apollo Moon Rocks Resolve Decades-Old Mystery of Lunar Magnetic Field Strength
A new analysis of lunar samples brought back by Apollo astronauts has settled a 50-year debate regarding the moon's early magnetic history. Researchers from the University of Oxford found that the lunar magnetic field was briefly stronger than Earth's nearly four billion years ago.
