NASA Analysis of Large Organic Molecules on Mars Points to Potential Biological Origins
A NASA-led team has concluded that complex organic molecules found in Martian mudstone are difficult to explain through non-biological processes alone. While not definitive proof of life, the presence of long-chain alkanes suggests ancient biological activity may have occurred in Gale Crater billions of years ago.
